MY FIRST BLOG POST

Hello dear reader, and welcome to my very first blog post! I really didn’t have a better title for this post, apologies! I would like to begin by introducing myself a bit.

My name is Sugandha and I’m currently pursuing Bachelors in Engineering and Technology in the stream of Electronics and Communication. I am an Indian, and a proud one at that! However, I consider myself a global citizen. I want to travel the world, meet new people and have new experiences. I want to do my masters from one of the best universities in the world. I want to live each moment of my life with perfection and sincerity, so that I have a sense of fulfilment by the end of each day. 

My primary hobbies include swimming and reading. I am a voracious reader and a HUGE fan of J K Rowling, Dan Brown and Sidney Sheldon. I have read books from both of these authors multiple times. I am also a member of a huge online reading and writing website, Wattpad, where I mainly read the works of other young and talented authors! My favorite genres include mystery, thriller, fantasy, sci-fi and sometimes an unconventional romance novel. I also like to watch movies, and listen to songs. My favourite genres keep changing, so there’s no point of mentioning them!

I wouldn’t say that I’m a very interesting person with a happening life, but hey! I am not boring either! I have an average sort of life and I am always ready to make it exciting!

Anyway, moving ahead, I am planning to start a new story that I would post here, on this very blog, on alternate Sundays. And on the rest of the Sundays, I will talk about life in general, or some weird crap, or maybe a poem or just about an interesting memory, or my thoughts about something powerful I read.

An Excerpt from the story:

“ At a seven star Chinese restaurant in New Delhi, Igor Petrov opens his fortune cookie and reads the following message: 

"Your life is in danger. Say nothing to anyone. 

You must leave the city immediately and never return. 

Repeat: say nothing."...”

This is an unplanned novel, my first serious attempt at writing. It may contain portions about the Russian Mafia. It will be a thriller story primarily. But I repeat, this is my first attempt at serious writing, so it may not be up to your expectations in the beginning, but I promise, it will improve with time!
